Seaside Scavenge’s debut in Queensland went down a treat. We catered for everyone; from tinder dates through to keen blokes looking for a good squats session. Over 4 stunning hours of sunshine and beautiful beats 65 diverse souls visited us in Justins Park, Burleigh Heads to clean the beach. 82% of which had never previously attended a cleanup… pretty rad!

The sounds of Sean Fitzgerald Son's of East, Matthew Armitage and Jade Peterson were a very pleasant backdrop to our scavengeing action. The Burleigh Heads Hotel generously donated 100 beer tokens that were worth 20 pieces of litter a pop. Between the Burleigh Heads locals and Brahminy Exchange in Byron we re-distributed 163.7kg of clothing, vintage leathers, kids toys and everything in between. 3,788 cigarette butts were plucked from the beach and parklands, saving some 189, 400L of water from contamination.

One-word we think sums it up pretty acurately: success.
